About Us

“Life is always changing.”  Just ask Debra Fulk.  Debra’s company, Equitable Divorce Solutions, Inc, provides financial planning for clients experiencing one of the ultimate changes in life.

Debra received her certification from the Institute for Certified Divorce Planners in March 1998 and her advanced certification in February 1999.  She founded EDS, Inc. in March 1998 in Cornelius, North Carolina.  A satellite office is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Debra’s previous work career was in corporate finance.  She was the controller and treasurer of a national accounts receivable firm for more than twenty years.  She will graduate from college with a BA in business administration in May, 2001, summa cum laude.

Debra regularly does seminar presentations related to divorce and financial issues.  She currently conducts a monthly seminar in Charlotte entitled Women in Transition.  While Debra admits that 92% of her client base are women, she sees a growing number of males seeking financial advice during a divorce.  “Many male clients are honestly seeking to put together a plan that will be fair to their spouse and secure their children’s futures.”

Debra revels in her clients’ successes.  She has worked with clients who were battling cancer and clients who eagerly picked up careers that had fallen by the wayside.  Some clients have followed her lead and are completing work on their college degrees. These are business relationships that have developed into life-long friendships.
